Rethink High School Forever
XQ Institute is the brainchild of Laurene Powell Jobs and Russlynn Ali. Partnering with this leading non-profit organization, I worked with a design team to develop new curriculum materials, website user experience, and out-of-home materials. XQ is a competency-based education system with tools, and resources that are flexible enough to be customized to the unique needs of every student in every school and in the real world (yes, that means finance and public speaking). We rolled out a new course curriculum design, website pages, and a “What competency is this” interactive tool. High school may suck…but this is how XQ re-imagines it for future generations. SMOOTH ANIMATIONS
Subtle, fluid animations were used throughout the site to enhance the user experience without overwhelming it. Transitions respond naturally to scroll and hover, creating a sense of rhythm and flow. Each motion was intentionally timed to guide attention, build atmosphere, and make the interface feel alive — yet effortless.
